I’ve had the privilege of serving on over a dozen nonprofit boards and even chaired a few of them. Leading non-profits under normal circumstances can be a difficult labor of love. This past year has been unusually challenging for nonprofit leaders seeking reliable funding and organizational sustainability. While 2020 will soon be behind us, nonprofit leaders are not out of the woods yet! In this Forbes.com expert panel post, I join with other members of the Forbes Nonprofit Council in offering a number of helpful tips to attract corporate sponsors.

Dr. Christopher Washington is a tireless supporter of global leadership development, philosopher of human performance improvement, and champion for the significant role of universities in workforce development. He serves as the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs for Franklin University, a private, nonprofit institution of higher education.

Dr. Washington takes an active role in his local community by serving on the Board of the International Visitors Council and on the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition’s Ohio Advisory Council. He currently is a member of the Forbes Nonprofit Council and serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Washington D.C. based Global Ties U.S.
