The Future of Exchanges
Perspectives on the future of international exchanges as an ongoing tool for U.S. public diplomacy, published by the Center on Public Diplomacy at the University of Southern California
As Board Chair of Global ties U.S., and as a leader in international education, I was asked to join Dr. Katherine Brown, C.E.O. of Global Ties U.S.; Dr. Patricia Marby Harrison, Director of International Professional Exchange Programs at World Learning; Robin Lerner, C.E.O. of the Texas International Education Consortium; and Ambassador Barbara J. Stephenson in writing essays reflecting on what we’ve learned, and how we’ll move forward from a disruptive 2020 to steer the public diplomacy field into a brighter 2021.
Dr. Christopher Washington is a tireless supporter of global leadership development, philosopher of human performance improvement, and champion for the significant role of universities in workforce development. He serves as the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs for Franklin University, a private, nonprofit institution of higher education.
Dr. Washington takes an active role in his local community by serving on the Board of the International Visitors Council and on the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition’s Ohio Advisory Council. He currently is a member of the Forbes Nonprofit Council and serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Washington D.C. based Global Ties U.S.
